Road To Yoga Teacher Training
The ‘Road to Yoga’ teacher training program is an experiential, practical and contemporary approach to the heart of yoga. It is designed for those practitioners who want to uncover their hidden potential and deepen their understanding of the ancient practice. The teachings are creatively woven into a hands-on experience, bringing you home to the best version of yourself.
This program is a paradigm for transformation and growth for the body, mind and spirit. It follows the path of traditional Hatha-Raja Vinyasa Yoga, which includes the eight limbs system. Surrounded by the healing beauty of nature, the weekend retreat style sessions offer a truly unique experience and develop your practice into a lifestyle. Living your practice is the greatest teacher!

What is Yoga Alliance?
Yoga Alliance is a non-profit organization that was started in 1999 as a way to create nationally recognized standards for yoga teachers and yoga teacher trainings. More and more yoga studios throughout the world are requiring their teachers to register with the Yoga Alliance, either at the 200 or 500 hour level. Yoga Alliance registration, however, is not a legal requirement for teaching yoga. Currently, there are no legal certification requirements to be a teacher.
How long should I have been doing yoga in order to do the teacher training?
The Bamboomoves teacher training is a vigorous program; often trainees are participating in two hours of asana practice at a time.
We recommend that individuals have a year of practice under their belt. However, individuals are not excluded from the training if they have less than a year, but these individuals should have a basic understanding of Yoga Basics and Level I postures because it is difficult to learn Yoga Basics while at the same time learning how to teach.
Do you organize accommodations?
We do not organize accommodations for the weekday evening sessions, but we can refer you to hotels in the area where students have stayed in the past. For our weekend sessions that occur once a month, we do provide accommodations at the Himalayan Institute at no additional cost.
How much homework do I have to do to graduate?
In order to achieve certification, participation must be to our satisfaction for the following: complete all written assignments, perform required class assist hours, perform class teaching requirements, attend all the contact hours in the 200hr teacher training course, complete all of the assignments given during the training where applicable, achieve a passing score on the final exam and the graduation.
For individuals out of the country, certificates will be sent through US mail so long as requirements are met.
Do I have to pay my entire tuition fee by the start of the training?
There is a $50 non-refundable application fee. Upon acceptance into the Bamboomoves teacher training, applicant can choose to pay tuition in full or make a $200 non-refundable deposit and the remaining tuition must be paid by the start of the training. Payment plans are available;
please speak to BambooMoves staff member.
What if I want to teach at BambooMoves?
Taking the BambooMoves teacher training does not guarantee employment at BambooMoves locations. In many cases, the trainees’ internships are done at BambooMoves and in some cases, have led to teaching opportunities and/or employment.
What if I am absent from a training day?
Students are expected to participate to the best of their ability. At the conclusion of the training there are make-up hours for unexpected circumstances.
